An Ancestor’s Tea

Welcome to An Ancestor’s Tea!
During this time of year, when many cultures and communities honour their beloved dead, it is felt that the veil between world’s grows thin. Join us in a warm and welcoming space to share and listen to stories of our ancestors, share tea and nourishing goodies (both savoury and sweet).
Bring a photo, tea cup or other significant object that carries a story, …or join us with a listening ear. If you would like to bring food that holds significance to your and your family you are welcome to as we create the Ancestor’s Tea together.
Ancestor’s Tea is an opportunity to include our ancestors in the continuum of life through sharing the vibrancy and challenges of their lives in a safe circle of welcoming ears. An invitation to place ourselves in a widening circle with all of creation!
This offering will be held in the beautiful home of local artist, Helen Stewart. Gather together and connect with your ancestors over tea.
You will be welcomed by Penny Allport.
Penny Allport is a Life-Cycle, Wedding & Funeral Celebrant steeped in the tea of a long time call and interest for cross-cultural practices of appreciation and incorporation of Ancestor’s in daily life. Rich and diverse experiences in Bali, Africa, Mexico, Peru, Ecuador and Europe inform a wholistic, continuing inquiry for all the ways we can bring healing, blessings and respect for the ones who came before us, as part of cultivating reciprocity, generativity and kinship with all of life. The cost for this offering is $40.
