Participants will have the opportunity to share emerging practices within their communities on film contributing to an action research process and documentary about the greening of end of life.

Penny Allport
Penny Allport is a Life-Cycle Celebrant, Home Funeral Guide & End of Life Educator with a passion for re-greening end-of-life and death care in modern times. As Co-Chair for the Centre for Earth & Spirit and facilitator of Living Well, Dying Well – an inspired and engaging program to support awareness and conscious care with end of life decisions and actions, she brings a deep embodied presence and reverence for ceremony to this gathering.
Robin June Hood
Robin June Hood is an activist scholar and filmmaker with extensive work with indigenous people in Latin America and British Columbia and the co chair of the Centre for Earth and Spirit. Robin has taught global education at the University of Victoria and held research positions at Simon Fraser University, the University of Victoria and Vancouver Island University. She co-authored For the Love of Nature: Solutions to Restoring Biodiversity, sharing stories on leadership in biodiversity worldwide.
Kim Holl
Kim Holl is the founder of Through the Lens, a cause-based company with a vision for giving back through the social impact project – HOPE RISING, dedicated to producing short films that illuminate social and environmental issues and inspire activism, while fostering our collective longing to belong. For 15 years, Kim facilitated experiential programs in the USA for schools and NGOs forging social change initiatives. She captured the beauty and transformative stories that emerged from each community.
