A HUMMINGBIRD COLLECTIVE PROJECT

The Nature Creative Commons is developing a series of resources and curricula to convey the climate benefits of healthy, diverse, intact forests and climate risks of unsustainable forestry practices. The purpose is to inspire public advocacy, strengthen local stewardship initiatives, and inform political decision-making.

Phase 1 of the Series

  • Forest Carbon Literacy Videos: Understanding Forest Carbon and Old Forests – Our Defence Against Fire
  • Forest Carbon 101 Illustrations

This is the first major project by the Hummingbird Collective. This collective was formed as a mentorship program for emerging artists, scientists, and communicators to develop their creative process and professional skills. The Collective also gives established professionals the opportunity to pass on their experience, resources, knowledge, and network. This collaboration provides valuable opportunities for individuals to work creatively in a distributed leadership model.
